Akron, Ohio, police were called to Highland Square Video after an unusual robbery attempt.
Michael Kaminski allegedly approached a video store employee and the employee of a nearby tanning salon outside the video store and ordered them inside, acting as if he had a gun in his pocket.
The tanning salon employee tackled Kaminski, and in the ensuing scuffle, the "gun" Kaminski had been carrying broke. It was no gun, but rather a bottle of Stetson cologne that had been covered over with black marker. Employees held the fragrant suspect until police arrived.
Kaminski, 41, was arrested on 27 February 2008 on charges of aggravated robbery and carrying concealed weapon.
He pretty well looks like what you'd expect from a guy this bright:
