I wonder, @Jenny: what's the difference between this guy's psychosis and all the other people who think God (a.k.a. an imaginary man in the sky) is mucking with our lives? At least this guy is angry at the prospect! I wonder if that makes him MORE sane than the average churchgoer?

Maybe it would be a good idea for those day care workers to pack pistols now and then.

Most facilities for day care may not have the doors locked, or gates to outside. If I had to put my kiddies in a place that couldn't be secured from strange people I would work from home.

The last thing Muslims in America need are nutcases like this saying things that might indicate that they're Muslims. The media tends to latch onto things like this, and use it to keep people believing that Muslims are insane and violent.

I'm married to a Muslim, and have lots of Muslim friends, and they're just regular people with jobs and families. This guy isn't anything like the people I know.

Of course, he changed his mind and claimed to be God (vs Allah). So, as "Greg, New Hampshire" indicated, it would be as justified to call him an example of a Christian as a Muslim. -rc

Roger that. Of course, the cops might want to check him out to see if he is using dope, but it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up in a secure housing facility in a prison if he didn't go to a high-security psychiatric hospital.

FWIW, most Muslims I've met are pretty down-to-earth people who are disgusted as heck with what is going on in the Middle East. They also have made noises that one of the reasons they came here was because American society is relatively open. From what I've read about the Taliban and al-Qaeda, there are more than a few members in those organizations who could be certified as insane by competent psychiatrists and there are also a good number who are too simple-minded to comprehend the effects of their actions.
