David Lynn Meacham Jr, 41, of Suffolk, Va., has been arrested after allegedly firing shots into the home of his ex-girlfriend on March 6.
The woman said Meacham made numerous telephone threats against her, and then fired shots into her home. There were several people inside at the time, including children.
Meacham was charged with attempted malicious wounding and firing into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and (most shockingly of all!) misdemeanor using profane and vulgar language on the telephone.

Yeah, he looks pretty pissed (er, um, we mean angry. Yeah, that's it. Angry.)

Well, shitfire, y'all! Wait a minute, can I say that here?
Just out of curiosity, exactly what constitutes profane and vulgar language? I mean, is there a list of words that are illegal to use? And would the printing of such words in the law actually render the law in violation of itself?
Shades of Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, and all those who have gone before us.

Sure you can say that here -- as long as no one in Virginia reads it, you're perfectly safe. -rc

OMFSM!
How have I avoided punishment all these years? I had no idea that profane and vulgar language were a misdemeanor in Virginia.
Oooooh, I'm going to press charges on some people next time they call!!

Don't make me angry, Mr. McGhee. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry....
This boy looks like he's already halfway through the transformation.
