She Ain't Heavy, She's My Mutha
On January 20, 2010, a Cleveland, Ohio, woman pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter following the death of her boyfriend.
During an argument, Mia Landingham sat on the man, killing him. A police scale with a 350-pound capacity wasn't enough to accurately weigh her. Landingham's boyfriend, with whom she has three children, weighed 120 lbs.
Yeah, the whole thing is pathetic, but we just loved her name.

My first grade teacher would tell any misbehaving children "I'll sit on you and turn you into a grease spot." I never realized until now that such a thing was possible.

I always think that "involuntary manslaughter" sounds like an oxymoron - how can something involuntary be a crime?
(I presume it means "unintended" rather than "unavoidable", but then isn't that what distinguishes manslaughter from second degree murder?)
