Monday morning, a homeowner in Middletown City, N.Y., answered the door to a man who said he was with the FBI; he quickly flashed an ID card. The man held up a paper which he said was a warrant to search the home.
When the suspicious homeowner asked to see the man's identification more closely, he ran.
That pretty much proved he wasn't an FBI agent, so the homeowner called police. She knew the number pretty well: the resident is the wife of Ramon Bethencourt, who is the city's chief of police.
Officers quickly located Santiago Contreras, 20. Investigators say the ID card that Contreras flashed was his resident alien ID card. He was armed with a "shank" (homemade knife), and had a pair of plastic gloves.
He was arrested and charged with attempted robbery, attempted burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a forged instrument, and criminal impersonation.

Yeah: FBI agents always show up to serve warrants by themselves!

He doesn't look old enough to be an FBI agent.
