The photo is not from Rip Torn's recent arrest. It is from December, 2006 when Rip was arrested for drunken driving. The photo was featured by smokinggun as one of the top mug shots of the decade.

Huh! I didn't find the mug shot itself on Reuters, but several other news outlets used the one shown here on the current story. Shame on them! If I locate an updated shot, I'll replace this one. Thanks for the heads up. -rc

It made the front page of the local news in CT. It's not the first time he's had alcohol "issues". He actually thought he was home when they found him. He was very disoriented. Isn't it great what fame will get you?
