Elbert Lewis "Boot" Thompson II, of Pontiac Michigan, was arrested on March 17th after he tried to flee from police. But that's just the beginning of his story.

Chief Joe Caporali of the Vandergrift, Pa. Police Department said they found Thompson shortly after he ran from a car where the driver was arrested. He allegedly resisted arrest, and when he was put in the back of a police car he claimed he felt sick. "Then he just passed out," Caporali reported.

Believing that he may have swallowed drugs, Thompson was taken to a hospital.

Hours later, police in Pittsburgh received a call from a bartender who said a man came in wearing only a hospital gown -- and an IV needle taped to one arm. Pittsburgh police arrived to find the man, later confirmed to be Thompson, "running down East Ohio Street."

Pittsburgh police cornered Thompson between two houses and finally subdued him with a Taser after he ignored police orders and "was acting in a menacing manner towards an officer."

"We learned that Vandergrift had an arrest warrant for him," said a police spokeswoman.

While a Michigan police wanted poster lists Thompson at 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, Richards stated that he was very aggressive and dangerous, compounded by the potential for blood-borne diseases from his bleeding arm.

Thompson was taken back to the hospital for treatment.

In his arraignment, Thompson was ordered held on $100,000 bond.

His is wanted in Michigan for two bank robberies, carrying a concealed weapon, probation violations, and a federal warrant for flight.

LOL... Before I even reached your tag-line, all I could picture (in my mind's eye) was a guy running down a city street with his backside flashing! I've spent some time in hospital gowns myself and can't even imagine trying to run ANYWHERE in one! Amazing!!!
