Law student and former beauty queen Kumari Fulbright was accused of aiding three men in Tucson, Arizona, in the abduction, torture and robbery of her ex-boyfriend.
Police say she lured him to a house, where the three men tied him up with plastic cable and duct tape. The four suspects then allegedly pointed guns at the man, and relieved him of his cell phone, wallet and briefcase, including $500-$600 in cash.
The beauty queen allegedly bit him several times and held a butcher knife to his ear, threatening to kill him, according to court documents. The man escaped after eight to ten hours.
Fulbright, 25, was indicted on 18 December 2007 on charges of armed robbery, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A search warrant of one of the two properties where the victim was held returned ammunition, marijuana, the victim's wallet and briefcase -- and a book, How to Win Friends and Influence People.

In December 2009, Fulbright pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and aggravated assault, and will be sentenced on March 1, 2010.

December 2010 Update
In a plea bargain, Fulbright, now 28, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and aggravated assault. In exchange she was sentenced to two years in prison (less the 369 days already served), six years of probation after her release, and $15,000 in restitution. If Fulbright violates her probation, she could face up to 12-1/2 years of additional prison time.
And sorry, east coasters: when she's released from prison in Arizona, she has the judge's permission to move to the weirdest state in the union -- Florida -- to serve her probation.

Yeah, she does look like she's been using meth. If she was still beautiful I know guys who would've paid the $400-$500 that was in the brief case for that treatment. (I didn't say they were smart guys.)

Yep, she dirtied up right nicely.

I don't think she needed any more help looking freaky. OTOH, we'll never know what she was wearing. Just maybe it _would_ have made her look even weirder.
