A gas station attendant in Orem, Utah, reported to police that a man had stolen the station's cordless phone handset, as well as the attendant's personal cell phone.
He gave a full description of the rather distinctive-looking man, and noted that the man had accidentally left a piece of paper behind with an address on it.
A short time later, a rather distinctive-looking man flagged down a passing police cruiser, and asked the officer for directions. If matching the description perfectly wasn't enough, the address the man asked for directions for was the same address on the paper left behind at the gas station -- which the officer knew because he had just been dispatched there to check for the thief.
Both phones were allegedly found hidden on the suspect -- right next to his marijuana stash. He was arrested, and identified by police as John White.
The Utah TV station that reported the incident didn't give White's age, nor did it bother to say when this happened, but the report was published on their web site the afternoon of March 24.

Now there's a guy who's going to insist he gets his "one phone call"!

Now we can find out if blondes really do have more fun. (We'll ask him when he gets out, but shortly thereafter, I suspect, he will change his hair color).

"Officer, can you tell me how to get to this address?" "I can do better than that. Get in. I'll give you a ride."
