Samuel Collins apparently didn't want to get arrested for possession when he got pulled over April 24. So, the 28-year-old Ft Lauderdale, Fla. native did what any sensible person would do: he allegedly stuffed a bag of marijuana into his mouth and attempted to wash it down with a double cheeseburger.

The Pasco County Sheriff's deputy who had stopped Collins (for littering, after Collins allegedly threw a McDonald's bag out his window) reported that he approached Collins' car to see him with the bag of processed green leafy substance in his mouth. He then grabbed the burger with both hands and began "shoving the burger into his mouth," he said. The deputy ordered him to spit it out, but Collins still chewed and swallowed until he was pulled to the ground.

Collins, who police say showed signs of drug and alcohol use, then spit out the bag and apologized for trying to swallow it, saying he had a suspended license and was afraid of being arrested. Inside the car, the deputy found an alleged joint on the passenger seat.

Collins was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, and driving without a license. He paid his bond and was released from jail.

Reminds me of the old Cheech & Chong routine, "Welcome to McDoobies's."

Paul, I can't be sure since I haven't seen them in nearly 30 years, but I think those are deelybobber nubs. (Allegedly.)
