Donald D. Dudrow III, 22, was jailed on a probation violation in Ottawa County, Ohio. But he needed something, jailers say, so he wrote his mom.
According to jail officials, he told his mother in the letter exactly what he needed: patches of the synthetic narcotic painkiller Fentanyl. He included the name and phone number of his drug dealer, detailed how to extract the drug from the patches, and then how to mail it to him at the jail without being detected. It was all nicely illustrated with how-to drawings.
There was just one problem with his carefully-thought-out plan: He didn't get his mother's address correct on the envelope, so the letter was returned to the jail. All incoming mail is opened by the jail, and they read it all.
The letter has led to new charges for Dudrow on April 1: conspiracy to attempt trafficking in drugs, a felony; conspiracy to attempt to convey drugs into a correctional facility, also a felony; and conspiracy to attempted possession
of drugs, a misdemeanor.
"We haven't really seen anything like this," said Ottawa County Sheriff Bob Bratton with a laugh. After all, his little jail only has space for 48 prisoners. "We mostly get folks trying to sneak in cigarettes."
The bail for Dudrow's new charges: $100,000.

Hey: maybe he can get his mom to mail the bail.

So...did his mom move without telling him?

One couldn't blame her if she did, but no: he just got it wrong. "Always use the correct Zip Code!" -rc

Hey, Don. Two things you should always remember. Your mother's birthday and her address.
One thing you should learn is 'Just Say No' to drugs.
How old are you going to be when you grow up. If you live that long, that is.

This looks like a two-fer. Mr. Stupid included the name and address of his drug dealer?!? I imagine by now the cops have picked up that fellow too.
