Two Hickory, North Carolina, men called police to ask for help with a flat tire. When officers arrived, they recognized the men from a surveillance video they had watched earlier that day.
According to police, the two men allegedly entered Cubbard Express convenience store, one indicating he had a gun, and demanded money from the cashier. They fled the scene, and about 4 hours later called police from a Hardee's restaurant for help with their flat tire.
Mark Franklin, 46, and James Jennings, 31, were arrested on 1 February 2010.
And frankly, don't they actually look that stupid?

There is a lesson to be learned here: know how to change your own tire so that when you break down at inconvenient moments you can change it without enlisting the help of the people you're running from.
