Carly A. Houston, 29, was arrested after a dispute with a taxi driver in Naperville, Ill.
The hack said that after getting in the cab, Houston just told him to drive north. When he asked her to be more specific, she allegedly "yelled, screamed, cursed and extended [both] middle fingers at the cab driver and threatened bodily harm." He stopped at a gas station to call for help. Witnesses there said they were "alarmed and disturbed" by her behavior.
When officers arrived, she refused to pay her cab fare, and was arrested and charged with theft of labor or services, criminal trespass to land, and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors.
After booking, she was allowed to make her classic "one phone call."
Rather than call a friend to come post bail for her, Houston used the opportunity to call 911 -- to report she was "trapped" at the Naperville police station.
Officers added another charge: making a false 911 report.

Who the heck does she think she is? Whitney Houston?

Looks like she was putting the moves on the booking officer.

You reckon they'll get a conviction on that? I mean, it's not actually false since she really WAS trapped at the Naperville police station.

My guess: it'll get dropped as part of a plea bargain on the main charge. -rc

When I first saw this story, I couldn't help wondering if they did a breathalizer test on her because of her bizarre behaviour (it didn't mention it in the article I saw nor does your version, although, as usual, it DOES contain more information than the original). Any idea Randy?

Unfortunately, none of the articles I found had that detail. Seems to be an obvious question, and perhaps they did one, but if so, it wasn't reported. -rc
