Here's to Ew! Mrs. Robinson
An Orem, Utah, Highway Patrol trooper found a surprising scene when he stopped to check out a broken-down vehicle on the side of the I-15 freeway last week.
There were two people in the foggy-windowed vehicle in various stages of dress. Suzanna McGraw, 34, was found adjusting her clothing, and a 17-year old boy was wearing only his underpants.
The boy told the officer the car had run out of gas, and that nothing else was wrong with it. Not so, found the officer: the car was stolen. A marijuana pipe and some stolen stereo equipment were also recovered from the vehicle.
McGraw was arrested on charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail. The 17-year old was released to a responsible adult, and police say he may also face charges.

Around here (Maryland, D.C., West Virginia, but not Virginia), the age of consent is 16, which makes a lot more sense to me. I think it's kind of creepy for a 34-year-old to have sex with a 17-year-old, but I think the average 17-year-old is perfectly capable of saying no, and therefore also perfectly capable of saying yes and meaning it.
