A woman in Dallas, Texas, was upset to see that her 2001 SUV was about to be repossessed, and gol' durn it, she was going to do something about it!
And Krystal Gardner, 28, would apparently do anything to hold on to her 2001 Ford Expedition. As the repo man was backing the vehicle down her driveway, Gardner allegedly threw her 1-year-old infant into the back seat of the moving vehicle through an open window. Texas law states that a vehicle cannot be repossessed if there is anyone inside.
As soon as Luke Ross, the repo man, saw that, he stopped the SUV and got out. For his efforts, he was greeted by a 15-year-old who came out of the Gardner house armed with a 12 gauge shotgun. The teen fired one shot into the air, then aimed towards Ross and fired again. Ross was hit in the leg.
Both the teen and Gardner were arrested on charges of aggravated assault, and Gardner faces additional charges for child endangerment. Not surprisingly, perhaps, she had several outstanding traffic warrants as well.
Gardner is being held on around $4,000 bail. Child Protective Services is currently deciding what actions to take in regards to her infant.

Ross suffered "minor injuries" from the shooting -- it sounds like repo guys have more than just balls of steel.

She was willing to do anything *except* make the payments on it.
A buddy I knew back in the 70's did a gig in the 80's as a repo man. He'd had to duck a few shots in doing his job too. Not high on the list of jobs I'd like to do.

Randy: You are frighteningly hilarious!!! LOL
Jim in southwest Illannoy: But I hear that being a repo man PAYS really well!!! Some of the repo people I've seen look like they get the ADDED BONUS of "stealing" cars legally! LOL
They had a show not too long ago on cable following a couple of divorced women who formed a repo company and they were making a nice living (you should have seen the fully-loaded pick-ups they had, plus a brand new loaded flatbed car-haulers) and some of the predicaments they found themselves in were hilarious!
Some people just don't get that if you can't afford the car payments, you have to turn in the vehicle AND you don't get back the money you put into it. Truly clueless!
