Police were called to a McDonald's restaurant in Oklahoma City, Okla., at 2:00 a.m. on a report of a belligerent woman trying to climb in though the drive-through window.
Employees told arriving officers that the woman placed her order, bypassed the payment window, and then insisted that she had paid. When told she had not, she became angry and climbed through the window, breaking it, and then started knocking food onto the floor.
Officers found the woman sitting in the passenger seat of her car. They reported a strong smell of marijuana, and she seemed intoxicated.
After asking her to identify herself, she said her name, then said, "Wait! That's my cousin's name," according to the officers' report.
Cierra Steed, 20, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness, and for an outstanding warrant on traffic charges. On the way to jail she "screamed" that she would go back and cause more damage. She was released on bail.

...into the custody of her cousin, we hope.

Not necessarily mass murder, but I think they should have held her overnight at least, especially if (and I don't know what the legal drinking age is in Oklahoma) she was underage on possessing alcohol.
On the way to jail she "screamed" that she would go back and cause more damage. She was released on bail.
Making threats like that would be another reason for keeping her at least for a few days IMO--possibly as shock treatment--but I'm not a prosecutor or judge.
Regarding the suggestion of equipping drive-through personnel with baseball bats, I'm surprised that such hasn't occurred already.
Last but not least, the tidbit about her being nabbed for shoplifting: Yay! They finally got her on something they can keep her for!
