I used to know a booking sargent that would always tell people to smile just as he took their mugshots. He said most of them will do it.

What's weird is it seems like a long time to hold deposits in his closets. Maybe he legitimately forgot due to the drugs. Not that I excuse the crime.
But most petty thieves spend money immediately.

Brad, there's a difference between legitimate and genuine... but yes, it sounds like maybe he genuinely didn't get round to making the deposits. I would assume that led to the reduced charge.
