I've been told that the reason truth is often stranger than fiction is that fiction at least has to make sense to be believable. The truth doesn't.

If taking a draw on one of those wouldn't be enough to get a person to stop smoking, I don't know what would.

Seriously, it's obvious that Ballenger wasn't going to persuaded with kind words. Force was needed (force that appears to be far short of deadly) to restrain him. And yet the white knight gets the most charges filed!

I am also curious about the circumstances over why the two guys were arrested (perhaps they went too far, but Ballenger doesn't look TOO bad), but my guess is that the charges won't stick. I don't think I'll be able to say that about their reputation for crappy cigarettes, though.... -rc

Were they planning on going to jail? How long did they have the contraband concealed? I don't smoke but I can't imagine that marinating the cigarettes improves them in any real way!

Here in Florida, we have a "stand your ground" law. It is legal to use deadly force in your home if you are feeling threatened. With that in mind, these 2 guys should have shot the would be rapist. But nooo...To boost their statistics, a lot of Florida lawmen will arrest everybody. Charges will probably be dismissed. I wonder who discovered what was in their rectums.
