April Fool
When Jeremiah Shane Farmer, 29, was arrested, the phone calls started coming in to police -- from his victims.
Farmer, of Hammond, Ind., was initially allegedly involved in a gang shooting in nearby Gary. Police in Gary got plenty of tips: he was an "enforcer" for a street gang. Victims provided evidence of a burglary, and then, they say, he robbed the passenger in his own car of $750. Farmer stopped, beat the passenger with a crowbar, then pulled out a pistol and demanded the victim's wallet.
"Victims are terrified of this man," said Deputy prosecutor Jamise Perkins. "The only thing that allowed them to come forward is when they knew for sure that he was locked up in police custody."
Farmer's attorney said Farmer simply hadn't been taking his medications for an unspecified mental illness at the time of his crimes.
Yeah, well, maybe: Farmer pleaded guilty to both the burglary and robbery and, in a plea bargain, was sentenced to only 20 years in prison. As far as we can tell, that happened April 1, making him our "April Fool" for the year.
Easily identified by the multiple Latin Kings gang tattoos on his face, Farmer shrugs them off.
"The bottom line is I'm not a criminal no more," he said. "OK, I have tattoos on my face. So does Mike Tyson."
Yes, well, Tyson is a felon too, isn't he?

This is farmer REAL babies momma n only I know him the best he is my best friend n a wonderful father we've been by eachothers side since 1999 I talk to him everyday he's definatly not a bad guy only made bad choices yeah n other baby momma really who r u let's b for real here the family never even seen Ray...anyways people don't judge till u know facts...

How nice you can talk to him every day, in prison. Just how many women has he fathered children with, anyway? As for the "facts", he pleaded guilty and is in prison. Pretty much don't need to know more, do we? -rc

I know who other baby momma is. And his other daughter isn't named ray its ryan.and not once did he try to get ahold of her he may be good with his other kids but her not being one of them. imean its been five years. People are judging by his actions not childhood.

Yeah it pretty funny you have supposedly been with him for four years. His daughter is five and will be six in September. Case in point you have been with him for that long and don't even know HER REAL NAME. Pretty pathetic don't you think. HE DOESN'T CARE AND HAS NEVER CARED SBOUT HER. I have tried to get them to meet her and he has showed no interest. If that's a good dad then I guess I don't know what a dad is! It's ok because she has a father now that takes damn good care of her if I could get him to sign over his rights I would. I would be so happy if he would do that. Too bad he can't in the state of IN. And as for Mandi is this the woman who he said just dumped Hayley and Angelica on him and abandoned them because that's the story he told me!
